Blocks!!!!

I mentioned last month that I accepted a new position as a PreK teacher this fall.  I am super excited, but also sooo nervous.  It's hard to change grade levels.

Anyways, I have been doing a lot of searching for meaningful social centers activities since this will be a large part or our learning.

I have found many ideas through Pinterest {of course} and have fallen in love with another Texas teacher's PreK blog called PreK Pages.

To help move things along with preparation, I created these block center labels and visual discrimination cards:

Click the pic above to grab the Google doc.  Just click on the printer icon in the corner to download it.

I hope you enjoy them!

  1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I teach pre-k, and making a resource like this (for blocks, Legos, bricks, and other blocks center toys) has been on my to-do list for 3 years now. My first set was destroyed by a particularly rowdy group of students :( Unfortunately, I couldn't download it - the link wouldn't go through? I'll check back later to see if it will work then. Thanks for the freebie!!

  2. I was having trouble downloading it too. I have been trying to get these together for legoes, bricks, etc. too and haven't done it for all of these things yet. I will also check back later and see if I can download it. Thanks for sharing!

  7. I am so happy for you on your new position. I think you will be great! Last year was my first year in kindergarten. I taught 5th grade for 7 years and before that 3rd grade. Over the past 3 years, I have asked to be in kindergarten. Last year, I finally got it. YAY! :) GOOD LUCK!
